Privacy Policy

ASTRA is designed to collect as little as possible. No account, no email, no real-world identity is required to play.
What we collect
- Anonymous player ID — a random identifier generated on your device on first launch. It is not linked to your Apple ID, Google account, email, phone number, or any personal identity.
- Display name — the name you choose (or the random handle we generate). It appears on leaderboards you participate in and can be changed any time in Settings.
- Daily scores — when you finish a "Today's Sky" run, the run is sent to our server to compute your score and rank. We store the score, rounds reached, your display name, and your anonymous player ID for that day.
- Friend links — if you accept an invite, we store a link between your anonymous player ID and your friend's so we can show a friends leaderboard.
- Anonymous usage analytics — we use privacy-first, self-hosted analytics (Aptabase) that records anonymous events (for example "run started", "daily completed") to improve the game. No personal data, no device fingerprinting, no cross-app tracking, and nothing linked to your identity.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or any sensitive personal data.
On Android, Google's ad SDK may read the device's Android Advertising ID to serve ads, limit how often they repeat, and prevent fraud. That identifier goes to Google only; ASTRA never reads or stores it. You can reset or delete it in your device's Google settings.
Advertising
ASTRA shows ads through Google AdMob — only non-personalized ads. We do not request the iOS App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track you. Rewarded ads are always opt-in, and interstitial ads appear only between runs, never during one. Google may process limited technical data (such as coarse device information) to serve and measure non-personalized ads; see Google's privacy policy. Purchasing the Stargazer Pass removes interstitial ads; rewarded ads stay available as an opt-in choice.
In the EEA, the UK and other regions where the law requires it, ASTRA asks for your ad consent through Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change that choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
Purchases
The Stargazer Pass is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to validate purchases; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts — never your name, email, or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
What stays on your device
Endless-mode play, statistics, streaks, sound and language preferences are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.
Where data goes
Score, friend, and analytics data is stored on our own server infrastructure (operated for ASTRA) and transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Data retention & deletion
Daily scores and friend links are kept to power leaderboards and streaks. To have your data deleted, contact us with your display name and (if you have it) your player ID — we will remove the associated records.
Children
ASTRA does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only ads shown are non-personalized.
